SO-LO

Now you can take a bath or shower in a regular-sized tub without the strain of getting over a high wall.  With the So-Lo by Safety Bath you just walk or transfer into the tub and close the door.  The So-Lo comes with a high-density polyethylene safety seat that makes transferring easier and allows for safe, comfortable bathing.  You can install the flip-up safety seat/transfer bench whenever you choose.  The tub is made from acrylic and the basic model measures 59.5" long, 32" deep and 18" high.

This walk-in tub was designed to meet the changing needs of the aging baby-boomer generation, as well as the demand for universal design in residential settings.  Its innovative design meets the need for an accessible bathtub that accommodates a wide range of bathing preferences and changing abilities, allowing for aging in place.  The So-Lo fits almost anywhere.  It can be used in residential settings, assisted living facilities, hospitals and other settings where the users' needs are diverse or change over time.

Note:  When considering the purchase of a walk-in tub please check your hallways, doorways and any other space limitations you may have.  Make sure you can get the tub where it needs to go, and that it will fit into its designated space.  It's best to consult the contractor doing your renovation to make sure the tub you choose will work for your situation.  Be sure the inside dimensions of the tub are adequate for you or for the end user.  Also, please note that Access-r-ease does not provide any servicing on these tubs.

So-Lo comes with the following options:

Drain Placement
The drain can be placed on either the left or the right side of the tub, and the door and safety seat will be placed at the opposite end from where the drain is located.  The door will also be hinged on that side.  For example, if your drain is placed on the lefthand side of the tub your door and safety seat would go on the right side of the tub, and the hinge would go on the right side of the door.

Heated Shower Deck - Price +$800
The heated deck provides a warm seating area along the length of the bathtub for people who want to sit while bathing or showering.  The So-Lo tub with heated shower deck measures 59.5" long, 44" deep and 18" high.

San Air Warm Air Massage 12 Jet System - Price +$500
When this option is added, the So-Lo offers a relaxing, therapeutic element to the everyday bath.  The system includes 12 warm air jets with check valves, warm air blower and touch pad control.

Available Shipping Options

This bathtub will be shipped to you directly from the manufacturer, Safety Bath, located in Canada.  Because this product is shipped using a different method than the rest of the products on the Access-r-ease website, you must use the dropdown boxes at the end of this page to choose one or more of the following freight options.  Please allow three to five weeks for delivery from the date of purchase, as Access-r-ease must order the tub once it's been purchased by a customer.

Base Freight - Price +$350 within Canada, $400 for Continental USA
When you choose this basic option your Safety Bath will be delivered to the nearest shipping depot to your address.  You'll need to make arrangements to get your tub home from there.

Residential Outside Delivery - Price +$75
If you choose this option your tub will be delivered directly to your home.  In this case you'll also need the "Power end gate" option (below).  The cost of these 2 options ($125.00 combined) will be added to the Base Freight price.

Power End Gate - Price +$50
A power end gate is needed if you're having your Safety Bath delivered directly to your address instead of the nearest depot.  The power end gate is the equipment needed to lift the bathtub off the delivery truck, and you don't need this option if you have your bathtub shipped to your nearest depot.

Shipping Protection (Recommended) - Price +$49
Choosing this option will ensure that if there is a problem with your shipment or if your tub arrives damaged, the manufacturer (Safety Bath) will handle the details and you won't be responsible for the costs and hassle of making return shipping arrangements.

MO-003

The Able Tripod Cane Base easily fits onto most canes.  The wide tripod base gives you increased traction and balance control on most terrain including grass, gravel and sand.  The base also allows the cane to stand alone on level surfaces.  The increased contact area gives you more stability while reducing the impact on your hand, wrist and elbow.  Not intended for use on ice, snow or slippery surfaces.  Fits 3/4" canes.

MO-013-C

This double-clip cane holder allows users to keep a cane handy wherever they may need it.  Simply snap one side of the clip onto any tubular structure such as a table leg, walker, commode, wheelchair, or lawn chair.  The opposite side of the clip will hold canes 7/8" in diameter or thicker.  The gripping surfaces are soft plastic rollers and will not damage canes.  It's made of sturdy metal and plastic and is great for holding thicker canes.  The unit measures 3 x 2 x 1-3/4".

This burgundy nylon bag can be hung from a crutch or walker using two webbing straps. It has a zippered main compartment and a zippered pocket on the front. The bag measures 6" wide by 9" high by 2" deep.

This wrist strap comes in black and is made of soft webbing with a Velcro® band to attach it to your cane.  Great for when you need your hands free!

HH-001-F

These grips are made of cushiony, nonslip material that’s latex-free, antimicrobial and anti-shock.  Their prominent ridges and mini-lever make it easier to turn faucet handles, and their softness cushions the hand to reduce pain.  The red and blue grips let you color-code faucet handles for safety.  These grips can also be used on doorknobs, pill bottles, or anything else you can think of.  Before using, run Great Grips under warm water to soften them up.  Package contains 1 red and 1 blue grip.

HH-001-G

These grips are made of cushiony, nonslip material that’s latex-free, antimicrobial and anti-shock.  Their prominent ridges and mini-lever make it easier to turn doorknobs, faucet handles or caps on pill bottles, and their softness cushions the hand to reduce pain.  The glow-in-the-dark feature makes them visible at night, and in the daytime the glow crystals give them a light green color.  The crystals recharge with normal exposure to light.  These grips can also be used to help you open pill bottles.  Before stretching one over a doorknob you can soften it up by running it under warm water.  Two per package.

GO-001

This large-handled key holder makes it easier for people with limited dexterity or arthritis to grasp and turn a key.  It has a solid, 5" handle and stores up to 3 keys at a time.  Just use the large lever to unscrew it, then fit your keys into the unit.  Fits keys with a hole 3/16" in diameter or larger.

PC-003

This durable 30" dressing stick features a plastic S-shaped dressing hook at one end and a shoehorn at the other.  The inside shaft is made of resilient plastic that will flex if accidentally sat on or stepped on.  The shaft is a handle covered with soft foam for an easy, comfortable grip.

Use this stick to:

• pull on tops, sweaters and vests
• pull on pants or skirts
• pull on or push off socks
• put on or push off shoes
• reach for and pick up clothes, bath mats, hangers in a closet, etc.

Once you tie these Elastic Laces they stay in place, so you can easily slip in and out of your shoes without having to untie and retie them.  They are 27" long and there are 2 pairs in a package.

PC-004

Have trouble bending to put on socks or stockings?  Just pull your sock or stocking over the rigid shape of the Sock Aid, then insert your foot into the generous opening, and pull the strap to bring the sock over your foot.  Great for support hose too.  Tip: once you get the sock onto the Sock Aid, folding the top down over the rim will secure the sock while you're pulling it on.

PC-008

Wearing Loopies means you never have to tie your shoe laces again!  Loopies are coiled elastic shoe laces that won't hang loose and trip you up.  They stay tight but comfortable, and you can slip your shoes on or off without having to tie or untie them.

PC-013

Have trouble bending to put on socks or stockings?  This sock aid is just rigid enough to stay open after you load it with the sock or stocking, which allows your foot easy entrance. But its flexible fingers gently bend to the contours of your foot and heel. The smooth surface inside the aid allows your foot to glide in easily, while the embossed ridges on the outside help to hold the sock in place.  It's blue and comes with an adjustable strap.  Tip: once you get the sock onto the Mboss, folding the top down over the edge will help to secure the sock while you're pulling it on.

The unique T-shaped handle allows your wrist to stay in a more comfortable position when using the shoehorn.  This is ideal for people with arthritis, limited wrist movement or other hand dexterity problems.  The shoehorn's 19.5" length makes it great for people who have trouble bending.

This buttonhook has a handle that's 3/4" in diameter, so people with limited grasp will find it easier to grip it.  Push the loop end through the buttonhole, fit the loop around the button, and then pull it back through the buttonhole.
